Developed by Bofors Defens between 1994-2004
Bofors Defens developed the Mine Guzzler starting by mounting a forest tool on a Leopard 1 chassi proving the performance. Succesful tests lead to improving the tool to clear both AT and AP mines in one pass.
The Leopard 1 chassi was replaced by a custom designed carrier based on CAT power train and called Mine Guzzler. See summary from Bofors development.

Purchased by Rybro International 2004
After Bofors decided to leave the market of deminng in 2004. Rybro International purchased the IP and the Mine Guzzler prototype from Bofors and sold the Mine Guzzler prototype to NMAA in Iraq as part of a UNDP tender.
Since 2004 Rybro International is the owner of the Mine Guzzler developed by Bofors Defens.

A purpose-built heavy-duty tiller system engineered for mechanical mine clearance in demanding terrain and agricultural environments. This was done by Bofors resulting in the Mark 3 "Mine Guzzler".
